Waterless offset, as used here at Abacus (Colour Printers) Ltd for all our printing, gives much more vibrant colours, a larger colour and tonal gamut and increased detail when compared to conventional 'wet' offset printing.
This means that the darker areas are deeper and stronger, the mid tones more even and the highlights brighter and crisper. Your printed image takes on a dimensional quality not possible with conventional' wet' offset colour printing. Additionally when printing in the four process printing colours with waterless printing more colours will be printed, which is ideal for accurate Fine Art Printing.



Waterless offset printing therefore offers a more true to life print quality, whether it be postcards, greetings cards, brochures, calendars or Fine Art limited edition prints. All waterless offset here at Abacus (Colour Printers )Ltd is printed at 260 line screen, printing dots so small they are invisible to the naked eye, which ensures tonal and colour transitions are smooth and seamless.
Clean water, clean air, forest conservation, are all direct benefits of waterless offset printing. This is because waterless offset plate making and printing virtually eliminates chemical and volatile organic compounds(VOC's). These VOCs have been linked to the deterioration in the earths ozone layer (and headaches for the printing machine minder!).
