CHRISTMAS CARDS STILL DELIVER- WE ARE CHRISTMAS CARD PRINTERS

A recent article in a national daily newspaper commented on how people love sending and receiving cards especially Christmas Cards.
The Christmas card is often the only annual communication with friends and relatives and immediately conveys the message that they are not forgotten. But remain forever embedded in our thoughts.
Not so the current trend for ecards. This year I have received several all of which were immediately dispatched to the 'waste bin via trash. The most demeaning was from my bank who purported to be sending a Christmas message not even an ecard on the grounds of being green.
Do they not realize that for every tree cut down to make paper 4 new trees are planted? That these sustainable forest planted solely for paper production are rapidly becoming the lungs of the earth?
That water used by paper mills often returns to the river cleaner than when it entered the mills?
That the energy and materials used to manufacture computers and the power needed to run servers and the Internet is colossal and greatly contributes to carbon emissions world wide?
Someone somewhere, probably paid a large sum of money is clearly misinformed at this bank.
But what is the life expectancy of an ecard if in fact opened at all? Two seconds if that!
We here at Abacus have printed more Christmas Cards than ever this year. For charities, for churches, for families, for companies all of whom appreciate what a special individual printed card can say to the recipient. Christmas cards honour affections past and present and hopes of good times to come.
With all the snow, the views around us are breathtakingly beautiful, think now of next years Christmas cards and take all the fabulous pictures you can. here are some of the views around us.

Here at Abacus (colour printers)Ltd we close on 22 of December for our annual Christmas Holidays returning on the 4th of January 2011. Please do not leave a message on the answering machine as it will not be picked up until January.
All that remains to say, if you did not receive the Abacus Christmas card, is enjoy your Christmas, stay clear of the Christmas bug, and have a happy healthy New Year.
